AGREEMENT

 All students enrolling on our Beauty Guild and VTCT courses agree to the below terms and conditions.

Qualifications

Once booked, you have 12 months to fully complete the qualification including training, coursework and assessments from the date of booking. You would be unable to complete or resume any studies, outside of this period. All course fees are non-refundable.

It is the applicant’s responsibility, having referred to relevant sources of course information, to ensure that the course is suitable for their requirements.  AABY are happy to provide advice but accept no liability in the event that the content of the course or any changes to the course timetables, structure or contents does not meet individual requirements.  Once an application has been received and processed and a course place allocated, the applicant will be subject to and in agreement with all conditions as set out herein.

Course Fees

Please note once enrolled all course fees are non refundable and non transferable.   Any cancellations under four weeks prior to the course will NOT be refunded.  An admin fee will be charged for any cancelled places.

Certificates

Your Qualification certificate will be claimed from the awarding body (Beauty Guild) only once you have successfully completed your  practical assessment and have been confirmed as fully complete with the theory.

Students wishing to purchase a replacement certificate may do so by emailing us.  A small charge will be applicable.

Changes In Course Set Up

AABY reserves the right to alter the course venue and timetable where necessary at any time..  In extreme circumstances it may be necessary to reschedule or cancel a course due to insufficient numbers.

Starter Kits

KITS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE COURSE FEE. You can purchase these by emailing AABY. The starter kit contents give you some idea of the minimum basic items you will require, however there may be additional items you will look to add beyond the starter kit(s) once you begin practising to enhance your treatments. Pls check your course outline to see if you need to purchase a kit before completing the enrolment process.

Beauty Insurance (Public Liability Insurance)

Once you have completed and passed your course with AABY you will need to arrange professional insurance which will cover you to work on clients, family and friends. Insurance is needed if you are practising on friends and family in the lead up to your practical day.

If you hold an existing policy, you are responsible to ensure the insurance provider will extend your cover to include the new treatment(s) and for covering any cost to make changes. AABY cannot accept responsibility for issues resulting with insurance companies where students fail to check this prior to booking.

Health & Safety

It is essential all students abide by all policies regarding health & safety, security, student conduct and all regulations relating to AABY Beauty Academy.

Please wear black loose clothing, hair tied back and no jewellery and wear closed comfy shoes.

Patch test requirements must be completed prior to your course. (48 hours at least)

All students are required to disclose any medical conditions at the time of booking, which will be dealt in the strictest of confidence. Some conditions may  not allow you  to participate fully within a course. An important part of training is to deliver and receive treatments.

Social Media Advertising

By purchasing a course with AABY the student is agreeing  to allow photography to take place during training or the use of video whilst attending a training session.  AABY may use these photos or videos on their website, Instagram/facebook or any other social media platforms/marketing material

Waxing Courses

In consideration of other students participating in the course, you must be prepared to give AND RECEIVE the waxing treatment.  If you attend the course with less than 5mm of hair growth or are unprepared to receive the treatment, you will not be allowed to take part, resulting in the loss of all course fees. Male students are required to provide a suitable female model upon which to practice due to the nature of these treatments.

Manicure & Pedicure, Luxury Manicure & Pedicure and Gel Polish Courses

Please ensure any nail extensions or enhancements such as gel polish are removed prior to attending the course, as you will give and receive treatments working on the natural nails. Failure to remove such before the training day may result in being unable to participate within the course and a rescheduling fee being applicable.

Lashes & Brows

Prior to training for  courses relating to the above you will be required to complete a patch test for the lash lift / tinting and glue products we use on the course at least 48 hours before your course commences.

Please ensure that eyelash extensions have been removed prior to any training involving eyelash tinting/lash lift or individual or Russian lash course. Those who have undergone facial cosmetic procedures to include surgery, dermal fillers of any kind or semi-permanent make-up / facial tattooing or micro-blading within the last 12 weeks may be unable to participate within these courses. Failure to disclose these treatments prior to booking your course may result in loss of course fees.

Massage/Holistic Courses

Due to health and safety reasons, we do not allow students who are under 12 weeks or over 36 weeks pregnant to partake in practical training or assessment days.

Adjustments will be made to accommodate medical conditions where possible and practical. A medical certificate may be required in line with our insurance policy. Where students are unable to receive treatments for medical reasons, a female model may be requested to be provided by the student for each training day.

VTCT Course terms and conditions

NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED IF THE CANDIDATE DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR
THE TRAINING COURSE THEY HAVE APPLIED TO.
TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR VTCT COURSES
1. Deposits are non-refundable and will contribute towards the course
fee.
2. The balance of the course fees are payable in full 28 days before the
start of the course. Under no circumstances can the balance be paid
at a later date. Failure to complete payment by this time will result in
forfeiture of the deposit, unless the student has an agreed payment package.
3. Candidates may speak with the college principle if alternate
arrangements for payment are necessary. All cases will be dealt with
on a case-by-case basis and all decisions made by the principal will
be final. Failing to make payments as scheduled will result in
forfeiture of all payments made.
4. Failing to attend the course for any reason, except the unlikely event
the course being cancelled by us, will not entitle the Candidate to
access to a course at a later date nor to refunds of the course fees
or deposits paid to us.
5. In the event of a student withdrawing from a course or assessment,
all outstanding fees must be paid in full at the time of the students’
withdrawal. We cannot accept any withdrawals or course
cancellations unless they are in writing.
6. Any payments due to All About You Beauty Academy, which fall in
arrears, will result in suspension of tuition.
7. In the event of the course being cancelled by us, all Candidates will
be given alternate course dates, subject to availability.
8. Candidates will not be accepted if they have not completed
payments by the course start date.
9. Change of course date is accepted if:
a Full payment for the course has been received;
b .A written notice is received 28 calendar days prior to the
course start date.
10.Course fees do not include additional items such as student
uniforms or beauty kits for home practice. These items are an
additional expense and are to be met by the student. The training
centre is able to provide information for purchase of these items at
reduced rates from wholesalers.

11.In extreme circumstances it may be necessary to reschedule or
cancel a course due to insufficient numbers upon which a booking
has been made. If the rescheduled dates of the course are not
convenient to you liability is limited to a refund of the course fees
paid.
12.All course fees & deposits paid are non-transferable.
13.All Candidates are required to have 100% attendance for all theory
classes, practical sessions and assessments; as all classes build on
previous knowledge provided, any absences will result in a further
fee payment towards extra tuition time. Fees must be paid to enable
student to catch up with knowledge.
14.Classes will begin promptly at the published times regardless of
whether all Candidates are present.
15.Latecomers may be requested to wait outside until a suitable break
in teaching before entering a class. Teachers are not responsible for
repeating missed work.
16.Class hours may be varied at the Training Centre’s discretion,
without prior notice.
17.Paying and attending a course fully does not only guarantee a
qualification, diploma or certificate of achievement. Awards of
Achievement are gained by successfully completing all
assessments, marked by various awarding bodies.
18.Time off for any reason is not recommended. If any unavoidable
absences’, such as medical appointments, Weddings, Holidays
(religious or otherwise) etc, are likely to occur during the course they
must be discussed and agreed with the Principal before application.
19.A booking form is required together with your payment. The booking
form can be downloaded from our website.
20.Students agree to being photographed or the use of a film recorder
whilst attending a coaching or training session for use by All About
You Beauty Academy on their website, social media accounts or
other marketing materials.
21.Reading/signing your student handbook is compulsory.
22.Health & Safety should be followed at all times
